I wanted to give this one a bit of a surreal, dreamlike quality to it, and felt that this would also be a good opportunity to try creating a checkerboard floor effect. The column was created a week or two prior to this picture by following two different tutorials (one for the model, and one for the texture), and I felt that it would be good to include here to add some perspective, both in the room itself and in the reflection.

The mirror was originally going to fill the entire wall, but I decided to add a frame in order to establish where the room ends and where the reflection starts. The trailing darkness that you can see in the reflection was intended to add a slight sense of unease to the image, as well as contribute to the dreamlike feel.
